Our mission is carried out by using the talents and life experiences of mentors to influence and train youth to be successful physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. We do this by teaching life skills through education and hands-on work at the Ranch.
Our mentoring curriculum involves a variety of programs. Our vocational tract teaches abilities youth can use in future career choices. Some of these skills include screen printing, gardening, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, food service, and maintenance. We emphasize the importance of Christian faith, based on the Bible. In all of these activities we provide an environment of trust and respect, where young people can share their dreams, struggles, and goals.
Through love and compassion, Buckheart Ranch helps transform the lives of at-risk youth. We instill self worth and self esteem to the young person. We reach out to the family as well, in hopes of breaking abusive cycles and destructive behaviors.
